2026–27 test dates and deadlines
These dates apply to students in the US and at international test centers. Registration and change deadlines expire at 11:59 p.m. ET on the date shown.

If you need to borrow a testing device from College Board, register and request it at least 30 days before test day. That is earlier than the normal deadline. Late registration costs extra. Sunday testing is only for students who can't test on Saturday for religious reasons.
2027–28 anticipated test dates
College Board lists these weekend dates as anticipated. Registration deadlines for 2027–28 have not been published yet, so check back before you plan around them.

In-school testing windows
If you take the test at school on a school day, your school or district handles registration. The 2026–27 windows are:

How to pick a date
Leave 10–12 weeks
A steady 10–12 weeks gives you time for a diagnostic test, focused skill work and three or four timed full-length tests. For March 6, 2027, that means starting in mid-December. See our 12-week study plan.
Plan a second sitting
Many students sit twice. A March or May date leaves room for a June or fall retake before early application deadlines.
Register early
Seats at popular test centers can fill up, so registering well before the deadline gives you more choice. Late registration costs extra.
The registration fee is US$68, plus a US$43 international fee outside the US. Fee waivers are available to eligible students.
